You can also Download Stronghold. As Venetians our capital lies in the city of canals, Venice. Venice is situated in Northern Italy and is located on an island. Our city is connected to the mainland by a bridge that in turn makes our city easily defendable.

Our second city is Ragusa, a castle located on the east coast of the Adriatic. This castle will be very valuable in our wars in the Balkans and should be developed for better troop production. Our third and final city is Iraklion, located on the Isle of Crete. Iraklion is only a small town but is bursting and should be upgraded with walls to increase income and recruit more able troops for influx into our armies.

Our reputation for being the Merchants of Italy is well earned, as in our cities we are able to build Merchant Banks in our cities, which will greatly assist the traders in the region and stimulate our economy by giving an increase in trade and income. Whilst containing three regions, our empire is spread out and under developed. However both of these problems will be solved in the near future. There are several nearby settlements which are inhabited by lowly rebels and their induction into our empire will greatly help and allow us consolidate our empire.

However my general, there are many threats to the peace and security of our nation. Firstly, our Italian cousins the Milanese are a grave threat to our toehold in Italy. The remnants of the Holy Roman Empire still threaten our possessions as well, however their main powerbase lies beyond the Alps and we will do well to monitor the passes.

Another threat comes from the remains of the Byzantine Empire. Their rulers are looking to restore their dominance in the Mediterranean and may look to steal our lands. Over centuries of warfare we have developed very strong armies made of dependable troops. Our nation boasts some very proficient heavy infantry and militaia troops, although we do not have access to a wide range of cavalry. Our best troops can be produced from castles so the restoration and development of our castle at Ragusa will be very beneficial.

On the whole, our army is quite similar to our other Italian cousins with a few additions. Battles only grow in scale from there, and there's a lot of focus on conserving every unit you can. Having Gandalf and his personal guard fight a small swarm of Balrogs feels gleefully daft, although still not as silly as that last Hobbit flim. The Elder Scrolls: Total War. But it does a fine job of converting Bethesda's RPG setting into a strategic sandbox. It's great to see huge armies of Imperials and Nords clashing, instead of Skyrim's small civil war brawls.

As with Elder Scrolls games, this mod is best when it's touching on the weirder, wilder parts of the lore. Morrowind fans will be happy to know you can play as loincloth-clad masked demigod Dagoth Ur, leading a mixed army of cliff-dwelling monsters, mutant cultists and devout worshipers.

It's easily the most oddball faction here, full of troops that literally don't know the concept of fear. It's a pity their voice acting isn't the best - you might want to turn the campaign map chatter down. There's some good stuff on the horizon, too. While the current version of the mod appears to run on the Steam version of Medieval 2 with relatively little fuss, I did encounter one common issue.

SD files there - Battle , Shared and Strategy. Warcraft: Total War. It's great to see chunky Warcraft 3 and World Of Warcraft character models stomping around a strategic map. While unpolished, Total Warcraft as it should be called its laudable in its scale, letting you fight as factions like the skittering Nerubian Spider Lords. It's not quite a total conversion, with old Total War combat barks still being used, but it's technically in beta, so there's plenty of time to improve.

More than anything, Warcraft's chunky, clear unit designs lend themselves well to Total War, making for a readable battlefield. You can't mistake bright blue trolls and lime-green orcs for one another as they're smacking ten shades out of each other, and the non-humanoid factions are even more distinct.

Those griffon riders may be a little wobbly and stiff, but it's still grand to see them gliding into battle. Hyrule: Total War Classic Ultimate.
